'Rivers Breath' is from the collection 'Spring Awakes', a series of paintings exploring when the dark, dreary days of winter fade, and the first warmth of sunlight touches the trees and glistens on the water, you know change is coming.

Rivers Breath captures the undulations of land and water at the point where water flows to the sea, the estuaries of the UK landscape, I also wanted to capture the array of colours that can be found in this area, to me it was about the colours warming and changing, the promise of colour to come as the Spring season awakes.

It pairs well with others in the collection and was inspired by many of the smaller pieces and 'Misty Morning' makes a great pairing (see pic).

Artwork is 39" x 39" on a deep canvas with painted white edges.

The piece is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

My inspiration behind Nature Framed and Reflections

I always look for the windows that occur when I'm out and about, sometimes it's nature itself that frames.. An oak overseeing a Rapeseed field, an Avenue formed over a lane or tree leaves framing a scene beyond.

Sometimes it is our landscaping that frames and then nature curls it's way back in and frames again, the Laburnum on an arch frames the bandstand from a distance.

Reflections can be seen both in water naturally or man-made mirrors or reflective surfaces.

It's all about seeing things from a different viewpoint.

And capturing the moment as nature with her seasons is always transient... I love that the more you see, the more you see!
