'Amongst the Snowdrops' is from the collection 'Trees of Dreams', a small size series of paintings exploring my love of trees and the organic forms they inspire.
Amongst the Snowdrops was inspired following an early Spring Walk at Loynton Moss in Staffordshire, UK. There were still the faded reds and oranges in the fallen leaves still to fully decay on the woodland floor and bright red toadstools amongst them whilst on the trees were the incredible shapes of fungi on the still visible, beautiful bark. We were looking for snowdrops and there were none... I painted these from the ones in my garden!
Artwork is 9" x 12" mixed media on Wood Panel.
